Nicole Brown Nutrition and Performance
My philosophy
Everyone deserves access to quality care, as well as the opportunity to experience their version of optimal health.

Thank you for visiting my website to learn a bit more about me. I am Nicole, a trained nutritionist and exercise physiologist. I am a current Certified Nutrition Specialist-Candidate studying to obtain my board certification. I have a particularly keen interest in athletic performance, both at the recreational and elite level.
I believe that human performance encompasses far more than eating well and following a training plan, and it is my objective that my approach reflects this perspective. I always want you to feel safe and respected, and in charge of your choices and trajectory. I will honor your wishes and will do my best to help you move forward in a productive way with your primary goals in mind.
I also practice medical nutrition therapy and am especially drawn to addressing the immune system. Our immune system lies at the root of the majority of chronic illnesses. Promoting efficient and effective immune system function is paramount for avoiding chronic disease.

Professional Methods
I believe it takes time, dedication, and patience to cultivate a long-term relationship with my clients. I hope that, while working with me, you feel seen, heard, and valued as a complex human, not just a body trying to win, heal, lose weight, or whatever other outcome measure you select. With your permission, I will attempt to coordinate and collaborate with your entire care team, whether that includes physicians, therapists, coaches, or other professionals whose primary focus is your health and well-being. This team-based approach will enable us to deliver the best, most comprehensive care that will support you in mind, body, and spirit for years to come. Regardless of how long we work together, my goal is to provide you with impactful and adaptive tools that you can implement for the long haul.
As a Certified Nutrition Specialist-Candidate holding a highly regarded master’s degree in Nutrition Sciences from UT-Austin, my approach is rooted in science and functional medicine. Whether you need assistance navigating digestive symptoms, regulating mood and energy, enhancing metabolic health, or addressing inflammation due to training stress, I’ll be right there with you as your guide and sounding board. Your health is critical to your performance as an athlete and a human, and I will never compromise your well-being for the sake of a fleeting outcome. I want nothing more than for you to maintain your youthful vitality for as long as humanly possible. If we’re not shooting for a showing at the centenarian olympics, we’re not aiming high enough!

Who I Am
I am no spring chicken, and thus have a very strong, selfish interest in human longevity for the sake of my own longevity as an athlete. I try my hardest to stay up-to-date with the latest research in regards to nutrition, training, and longevity science, and I hope to act as a valuable resource for you as you navigate your extended athletic career. My approach is progressive and curious, yet compassionate. I am open to different ways of navigating challenges and will always listen to your feedback and suggestions. I promise to remain open minded to whatever direction you want to go in, or to whatever new strategy that interests you. I will remain steadfastly by your side and will work tirelessly to find a solution that fits you as a person. Do not be afraid to speak up and let me know how I can help you, remembering that I am here to walk with you, not to dictate how you should proceed.
If my bio resonates with you, and you’re not confident that how you feel today is the best you could possibly feel, let’s talk. You deserve to be at 100%, and I’ll fight tooth and nail until you experience what it’s like to reach that objective.
When I’m not helping clients, you can find me climbing, hiking, lifting, mountain biking… anything outdoors, really! I’m also steeped in nutrition and exercise research. I love reading new articles, watching webinars, listening to podcasts, and pursuing opportunities for additional education. I love to experiment in the kitchen (of course), and have become pretty average at sourdough baking. I don’t believe in unnecessary restrictions, so I absolutely love trying new foods and experiencing new flavors. I adore traveling, learning languages, visiting art museums, exploring new cities, and generally keeping my eyes open to the world around me.
