Nicole Brown Nutrition and Performance
Frequently Asked Questions
If it helps you feel more comfortable, we can start with a discovery call which is really a fancy name for a meet-and-greet. I want to provide you with an opportunity to interview me so that you can feel comfortable and excited walking into your initial consultation. During the initial consultation, the tables turn as I strive to develop a strong rapport with you and to cultivate an environment based on safety and trust. Together, we will learn the ins and outs of your circumstance, and decide on how you are most eager to move forward. With each encounter, we will check-in, make adjustments based on your desires and intuitions, and chip away as you become the absolute best version of yourself.
What does the process look like for a new client?
I work with anyone wanting to use nutrition to achieve optimal health. Whether you are navigating new health concerns or just want to go from feeling 80% to 100%, I am here to support you.
I do not claim to treat, diagnose, cure, or prevent any conditions. I ask that all of my clients be actively engaged with their primary care physician for ongoing support for their diagnoses.
What types of clients do you work with?
I like to mix traditional with functional, all while adopting a gentle approach to client support. I am comfortable interpreting lab results and appreciate the utility of functional lab testing when appropriate and desired by the client. I implement motivational interviewing in order to empower you to make your own decisions and to elucidate just how much you know about what you need and want. I believe in small, incremental steps that feel impactful but very doable. I believe in a food-first, but not food-only approach, and might propose a few hard-hitting supplements if the client is receptive. I remain open to a variety of modalities, and take no issue with my clients exploring off-the-beaten-path therapies. I love discovering new tools that can support my clients and enable them to practice self-efficacy and independence.
What tools and strategies do you implement in developing a collaborative protocol with your clients?

If you are trying to cancel or reschedule within 72-48 hrs, please call so that I can adjust as soon as possible.

Repeated and/or consecutive last-minute cancellations may result in a termination of our relationship.
What is your cancellation policy?

Essentially everything pertaining to our ongoing work together will happen through Practice Better, whether that be video calls, all of your paperwork, documentation, protocols, and lab results, as well as our ongoing communication. I will be happy to walk you through the software during our initial consultation, and ensure you are comfortable engaging with it
